Creating an Incident Response Dashboard

OVERVIEW

The company had recently experienced an increase in security incidents and wanted to create an incident response process to address them. The customers wanted an effective solution for managing and tracking security incidents in real-time, so that they could quickly respond to them.

MY ROLE

As the project's designer, my goal was to create a straightforward and easy-to-use design that is simple enough to use, modern, and clean.

THE CHALLENGE & GOAL

The goal of this project was to create an incident response process that could be used to quickly respond to security incidents in real-time. The customers wanted a dashboard that would provide real-time visibility into incidents and allow for quick response and resolution.

RESEARCH

The research phase of this project focused on understanding our customer’s needs and requirements for the incident response system. A few customers were interviewed to understand their current security incident response process and what features they felt were important for the dashboard. In addition, existing incident response systems were evaluated to identify best practices.

DEVELOPMENT

The development phase of the project focused on creating the real-time dashboard. This included designing and coding the dashboard, as well as integrating it with the customer’s existing incident response account on the Perception Point system.

TESTING

The dashboard was tested to ensure it was functioning properly and providing accurate real-time security incident data. The system was tested in a production environment to ensure it could handle the customer’s workload.

RESULTS

The customers were able to quickly respond to security incidents using the real-time dashboard. The dashboard provided them with the visibility they needed to quickly identify and respond to incidents. The customers were satisfied with the results and the system has been running successfully for several weeks.
